ARCA 2010 società cooperativa a responsabilità limitata (limited liability cooperative company) deals with research and development and experimentation in agriculture, in the agri-food chains and in the agro-energy and environmental chains. Together with the Regione Campania, it is a founding member of the Consortium for Applied Research in Agriculture (CRAA), which also includes the University of Naples Federico II, the University of Salerno, the University of Sannio, the Vanvitelli University. It participated in the Centro per il collaudo delle innovazioni in orticoltura (Centro Orticolo Campano), born on the initiative of the Department of Agriculture of the Regione Campania, together with the public bodies CRA - Alternative tobacco crops of Scafati and CRA - Orticoltura di Pontecagnano, and assumed responsibility for the thematic area "Variety Orientation in Horticulture". It collaborates and has collaborated with the main public research institutions in Campania and and on the national territory, and with the Chambers of Commerce of Naples, Caserta and Salerno. It created, registered and patented a variety of San Marzano tomato (Kiros) and a variety of beans (Dragone). ARCA 2010 is the site of the Herbaceous Germplasm Bank of the Campania Region.
